"Triad" is a short collection of songs which took a surprisingly long time to be actualized. Sumthin Gunny began the project in 2016. At the time "Triad" was untitled and undefined; there were no prescriptions. Shortly before and throughout the production of "Triad", Sumthin Gunny kept a dialogue with BTAL. Sending WAV files and critiques back and forth, the EP started to take form and develop.

Due to the nature of the project a lot of changes and modifications occurred throughout the process. The number of tracks, instruments sampled, and even the artwork evolved several times. The artwork is done by BTAL. It was first created in late 2016 as a sharpie sketch, with the intention of being used for "Triad". Over the years the sketch evolved into a painting, a digital remix; and finally a four-color CMYK screen print. In a non-traditional collaboration, Sumthin Gunny and BTAL present "Triad".
